
TMEVnet selected for Cheonan City’s Future Unicorn C-STAR 3rd cohort

Cheonan City, Chungnam, announced on the 12th that it has finalized the selection of the 3rd cohort of “Cheonan Future Unicorn C-STAR,” which aims to grow as a key driver of the K-Startup hub.
The city is promoting the Cheonan Future Unicorn C-STAR program in collaboration with five regional startup support organizations to discover and select promising startups and provide customized support.

The city is promoting the Cheonan Future Unicorn C-STAR program in collaboration with five regional startup support organizations to discover and select promising startups and provide customized support.
The 14 companies selected in the previous two cohorts achieved notable outcomes, including KOSDAQ listings, leading the regional startup ecosystem through tailored support from the city.
For this 3rd cohort, 24 advanced technology-based startups applied, and after evaluations by around 10 startup support organizations and private investment institutions, eight companies were finally selected.
The city reaffirmed that its startup ecosystem has been further strengthened, with highly competitive and fast-growing startups applying for the program.
The eight selected companies are GnT, Vision Innovation, AD System, Mithril, HUNIK, TMEVnet, Rowain, and Digolabs.
GnT develops and manufactures EV components such as converters, leveraging decades of expertise from its leadership and R&D team, with strong potential for rapid global expansion.
Vision Innovation develops and produces high-efficiency nozzles that reduce energy consumption in plastic injection processes by over 50%, contributing to eco-friendly initiatives such as RE100.
AD System produces fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles for defense and aviation, gaining attention as a promising global player after completing stealth performance verification in the United States.
Mithril develops AI-based industrial accident prevention solutions, helping reduce corporate risks related to major accident regulations, and is receiving strong interest from industries such as cement and steel.
HUNIK is a food tech company producing mushroom-based chicken alternatives, already supplying products to franchises in North America and expanding production facilities locally.
TMEVnet develops ultra-fast charging systems based on innovative thermal management technology and is collaborating with leading EV manufacturers both domestically and globally.
Rowain develops smart vertical farming systems utilizing logistics robots to maximize efficiency and is working with major domestic food companies while building a large-scale demonstration center in the region.
Digolabs provides eco-friendly recycling solutions using AI-based waste plastic sorting technology and efficient on-site response equipment, with expectations to transform the recycling market.
Acting Mayor Kim Seok-pil of Cheonan stated, “Cheonan offers an optimal environment for promising startups to grow, thanks to its geographic advantages and expanding startup infrastructure and networks,” adding, “We will continue to provide full support so that the selected companies can become key drivers of regional growth.”
