Successfully concluded the Cheonan-Asan Innocity InnoStar Challenge Demo Day in Chungnam

[Asia Times reporter Jin Jin-yeol] The Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), a core technology organization in Cheonan-Asan Innocity, Chungnam, and F1 Partners Co., Ltd. announced that they successfully concluded the “2023 Cheonan-Asan Innocity InnoStar Challenge (Demo Day)” event on October 31 at the Korea Automotive Technology Institute Innocity Campus 2.

[Reporter Jin Jin-yeol, Asia Times] The Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH), a core technology organization in Cheonan-Asan Innocity, Chungnam, and F1 Partners Co., Ltd. announced that they successfully concluded the “2023 Cheonan-Asan Innocity InnoStar Challenge (Demo Day)” event on October 31 at the Korea Automotive Technology Institute Innocity Campus 2.

This event was a technology startup competition demo day held as part of the Cheonan-Asan Innocity Campus project, with 10 companies selected through the second round of screening participating in IR pitching.
Seven external judges evaluated the participants based on their entrepreneurial capabilities, business potential, and technological innovation to select promising companies.

In addition, an “IR Pitching Clinic Program” was provided for the 10 participating companies, helping to improve their presentation materials and pitching skills through on-site feedback from experts.
About 30 people, including officials from local governments, investment institutions, and startup support organizations, attended the event to actively support investment attraction for the participating companies.

The evaluation was carried out by seven investment experts belonging to the “Future Mobility Investment Committee (FCI),” a network of active investment judges in the automotive industry established at the Korea Automotive Technology Institute Innocity Campus, and in-depth Q&A sessions were also held with the participating companies.
The award results are as follows:

Grand Prize (Governor of Chungnam Award): TMEVnet Co., Ltd. (CEO Cho Hyoung-nam)

Excellence Award (Cheonan Mayor’s Award): Myren Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Eun-hong)

Excellence Award (Asan Mayor’s Award): G&T Co., Ltd. (CEO Son Il-soo)

Encouragement Award (Innocity Campus Center Director’s Award): Luxa Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Sang-soo)

Oh Mi-hye, Director of the Korea Automotive Technology Institute Innocity Campus, said,
“Through the InnoStar Challenge of Cheonan-Asan Innocity, we are growing promising technology-based startups into unicorn companies every year,” and added,
“In the 2022 annual evaluation by the Ministry of Science and ICT, we were selected as the ‘Best Performing Institution’ among 14 Innopolis centers nationwide.”
She continued, “We will continue to strengthen the regional startup ecosystem and actively nurture excellent technology startups to make Cheonan-Asan Innocity a hub for future mobility innovation.”
